How to Add, Edit, Complete, and Delete Tasks in To Do List RUIX
To Do List RUIX gives you a simple way to manage daily tasks from a calendar. You can choose a date, add the work you need to remember, update it when plans change, mark it complete, or delete it when it is no longer needed.
The Home calendar uses a Sunday-first layout, so each week begins with Sunday. This makes it easy to look across the week and place tasks on the correct day.
In this guide, you will learn the basic task workflow in To Do List RUIX, from selecting a date to keeping your calendar clear and up to date.
Why Date-Based Task Management Is Useful
A task list is more useful when every task is connected to the day when you plan to handle it.
Adding tasks to selected dates can help you:
See what needs attention today
Prepare tasks for tomorrow or another future date
Separate today’s work from later responsibilities
Review what you completed on earlier dates
Avoid keeping every reminder in one long list
You can use the same workflow for work, study, personal errands, family responsibilities, health routines, bills, appointments, and other everyday tasks.
Understand the Sunday-First Home Calendar
Open To Do List RUIX and go to the Home tab.
The Home calendar displays the days of the week beginning with Sunday. The remaining days follow in order through Saturday.
Before adding or changing a task, check the month and selected date carefully. The task will be managed under the date you choose.
This is especially important when you are planning several days ahead or reviewing a task from an earlier date.
How to Add a Task to a Selected Date
Follow these steps to create a task:
Open the Home tab.
Find the date when you want to do the task.
Tap that date to select it.
Choose the option to add a task.
Enter a clear task name.
Select a priority or category when those details are useful.
Save the task.
After saving, confirm that the task appears under the intended date.
Write Clear Task Names
A clear task name tells you exactly what action to take.
Instead of writing:
Report
You could write:
Finish the monthly report
Instead of writing:
Shopping
You could write:
Buy groceries after work
Short, action-based task names are easier to understand when you return to the calendar later.
Add Tasks to a Future Date
You do not need to wait until the day arrives before creating its tasks.
Select a future date on the Home calendar and add the task in the same way.
For example, if you have an appointment on Friday, select Friday before adding:
Attend the appointment at 3:00 p.m.
Planning ahead keeps the task connected to the correct day instead of placing it among today’s work.
How to Edit a Task
Plans often change. A task may need a clearer name, a different priority, a new category, or another available detail.
To edit a task:
Open the Home calendar.
Select the date that contains the task.
Open the task you want to change.
Choose the edit option.
Update the required information.
Save your changes.
Review the updated task after saving so you know the new information was recorded under the correct date.
When Editing Is Better Than Creating a New Task
Edit an existing task when the responsibility is still the same but some information has changed.
For example, change:
Prepare meeting notes
to:
Prepare meeting notes and send them to the team
This keeps one accurate task instead of leaving two similar versions on the calendar.
How to Complete a Task
When you finish a task, mark it as complete.
To complete a task:
Select the date containing the task.
Find the finished task.
Use the task completion control.
Confirm that the task is shown as completed.
Completing tasks keeps your current workload clear and supports the Monthly Task Summary, Yearly Task Summary, and other task reviews available in the app.
Complete a Task Only When the Work Is Finished
A task should be marked complete when the action described by the task has been finished.
If you have only started the work, leave it incomplete or edit the task so that it describes the remaining action clearly.
Accurate completion records make later task reviews more useful.
How to Delete a Task
Delete a task when it was created by mistake, is no longer required, or should not remain in your task records.
To delete a task:
Select the date containing the task.
Open the task you want to remove.
Choose the delete option.
Confirm the deletion when the app asks you to do so.
Check the task carefully before deleting it. Editing is usually more suitable when the task still matters but its details are incorrect.
Complete or Delete: Which Should You Choose?
Use Complete when you finished the work and want the result included in your task record.
Use Delete when the task should not remain because it is incorrect, duplicated, or no longer required.
For example:
You paid a bill: mark the task complete.
You entered the same bill twice: delete the duplicate.
An appointment changed time: edit the task.
A planned purchase is no longer needed: delete the task.
Practical Example: Plan a Workday
Imagine that you are preparing your tasks for Wednesday.
First, select Wednesday on the Home calendar. Then add:
Send the project update
Prepare meeting notes
Buy groceries after work
Walk for thirty minutes
During the day, you discover that the meeting notes also need to be shared. Edit that task to read:
Prepare and share meeting notes
After sending the project update and completing the walk, mark those tasks complete.
If the grocery task was added twice, delete only the duplicate. At the end of the day, the calendar will show a more accurate record of completed and remaining work.
Tips for Keeping Your Task Calendar Organized
Select the date before adding. A quick date check prevents a task from appearing on the wrong day.
Begin task names with an action. Words such as call, prepare, review, buy, submit, and complete make the next step obvious.
Use priorities carefully. Choose Low, Medium, or High based on the task’s importance and urgency.
Use categories consistently. Categories make related work easier to filter and review.
Update tasks when plans change. Edit the existing task instead of leaving outdated instructions.
Review completion honestly. Marking only finished work complete keeps monthly and yearly summaries meaningful.
Delete with care. Remove mistaken or unnecessary tasks, but preserve completed tasks when you want an accurate record.
A Simple Daily Task Routine
Open the Home tab and select today.
Review the tasks already listed for the date.
Add any new responsibilities.
Edit unclear or outdated task details.
Complete tasks as you finish them.
Delete only mistaken, duplicated, or unnecessary tasks.
Review the day once more before closing the app.
